Commitment Leads Drowning Pool To The Biggest Hit Of Their Career
“37 Stitches” Goes To #4 At Active Rock Celebrates The Band’s Third Single On Their Third Album With Their Third Singer
New York, NY (April 29, 2009) – Drowning Pool, the hard working Texas rockers, have moved into the #4 spot on the Mediabase and Billboard Active Rock charts this week with “37 Stitches.” This marks the bands biggest hit of their career so far, edging out their 2001 anthem, “Bodies” and “Step Up” in 2004, both of which peaked at #5 on the Active Rock chart. On the heels of the band’s release of their first live album, “Loudest Common Denominator,” this single follows two successive Top 15 Active Rock staples, “Soldiers” and “Enemy.”
Commenting on the success of “37 Stitches,” drummer Mike Luce says, “We’re extremely appreciative that after releasing Full Circle over two-years ago, we’ve accomplished the biggest success of our career. When Ryan joined the band, we immediately knew he was the perfect fit to help take Drowning Pool to that next level. ‘37 Stitches’ pays homage to all of the people behind the scenes who offer us support. Through all of the ups and downs we’ve been through as a band, this song lets everyone know we aren’t going anywhere and we owe it all to our fans.”
After two years on the road in support of their album Full Circle, Drowning Pool has also just been announced as part of the highly anticipated Crüe Fest 2 Tour which stars Mötley Crüe and features support from Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and introduces Charm City Devils. The North American touring festival begins in Camden, NJ on July 19th and comes to an end on September 5th in Darien Lake, NY.
Drowning Pool is currently in the studio in their hometown of Dallas, Texas writing material for their fourth album to be released on Eleven Seven Music. With the success of “37 Stitches,” Drowning Pool will be releasing “Shame” as their next single, making it the 4th track on radio from Full Circle.
